The National Cohesion and Integration Commission has summoned ODM leader and Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate, Raila Odinga over Madoadoa remarks he made in Wajir on Wednesday.
NCIC chairman Dr. Samuel Kobia said in a statement that the term is considered hate speech in Kenya.
"The commission wishes to assure Kenyans of it commitment to curd any form of hate speech, to ensure Kenya remains a stable, prosperous and cohesive nation, and to deliver on our promise." Dr. Kobia Said.
Mr. Odinga has been under fire, over his remarks, from leaders especially from the Kenya Kwanza political wing.
Last week, Kareke Mbiu who is the Maara MP, was also summoned by NCIC for alleged threatening former Chuka Vice Chancelor, who is vying for the Tharaka Nithi gubernatorial seat, that he shouldn't dare step foot in his constituency to campaign.
Meru Senator, Mithika Linturi, was also grilled last month before he was set free by a Nakuru court for failure by the prosecution to bring charges against his Madoadoa remarks.
