Kenyans online raised concerns regarding the hefty charges from Safaricom's MPESA to their accounts at Cooperate Bank of Kenya.

For about one week, the banker has been charging up to Ksh. 42 per transaction of as low as Ksh. 100 contrary to their terms of services which says that such transaction is free of charge through their paybill number 400200.

After the online pressure pileup, Coop Bank through their tweeter account placed a customer notice on Thursday 3,  stating that they're reversing the Ksh. 42 and all other moneys related to such  charges.

However, Kenyans on Twitter did not take this lightly with some expressing disappointment while others grabbed the opportunity to make hilarious comments.

"There’s a lot to be done if you need clients trust…it all started with the 20/- balance enquiry fee, when it was highlighted here in Twitter you scraped it ,now this M-PESA deposit charge has followed suit after complains…why can’t your team just sit and do what is right 🤷‍♂️" @raykako

"1. It's too late, thousands have already closed the accounts they had opened with you.
2. Learn to respond to customers DMs, your social media team is always asleep.
3. Your transaction charges are mad, mad." @ProfCymOhFC

"Hi. Can I close my account with you online or do I have to visit a branch? Nioge niende bank ingine" @egichaaa
