Joe Ageyo Dumps Citizen For NTV Comeback

Nation Media Group (NMG) Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Gitagama, on March 15, announced that Joe Ageyo will be joining the giant media house as Editorial Director effective April 1.

"Joe will be in charge of the editorial functions of NMG's broadcast operations in Kenya across multimedia platforms. He will report directly to the Editor-in-Chief with a dotted reporting relationship to the Executive Director - Transformation," the statement read in part.

Ageyo joined Royal Media Services (RMS) from NMG in 2018 where he succeeded the now Cabinet Secretary for Lands, Farida Karoney.

In an internal memo dated March 9, RMS Managing Director, Wachira Waruru announced the exit of Joe Ageyo where he explained that Ageyo was leaving to pursue other interests outside RMS.

The memo also announced that Linus Kaikai was taking over from Ageyo.
