Roots Party presidential aspirant Prof. George Wajackoyah has left the country for a five-day United States tour.

Official statement released by his team on Saturday says he will seek to consolidate international support in his promise to legalize marijuana in Kenya if he wins the country's most powerful seat. Wajackoyah will also meet with business leaders and Kenyans living in the United States.

“He will be on a five-day tour of the US to try and consolidate support from the international community ahead of the August polls,” said the statement.

Wajackoyah, 62, rose to prominence after laying out his presidential platform, which includes appointing eight prime ministers, suspending the constitution for six months, and instituting a four-day work week (Monday through Thursday).

He claims it will help to bring families closer together, create a 24-hour economy, and give Muslims enough time to worship on Friday. The presidential aspirant also belives, under his leadership, Kenya will be able to offset its ever-increasing debts by legalizing  and exporting bhang.
